The change i try to bring about in our society - more nature, more sustainability, more community, less corporatism, more equality, etc...

That isn't idealistic.

What's idealistic is to expect that things will continue going fine and dandy for generations to come if we just sit around doing nothing. If we just keep living within the system.

What's realistic is to understand that society needs change - radical change - if we expect to survive and be happy.

Call me a hypocrite if you will,
I do not deny your criticism.
I make mistakes here and there,
and don't do as much as I could.

But goddamn it, at least I try,
and before you go and criticize my ass
consider the fact that, up till now,
i have not criticized yours!

I sit at the computer more than I should,
but at least I am not glued to the television,
gobbling up what the media throws in my mouth,
and listening blindly to the idiocy on FOX.

My marches and calls may not accomplish as much
as activists like Mortenson or Mandela,
but damn it it is hard to do more
when you won't even let me help!

At least I try to save the environment
At least I try to have compassion
At least I try to be open-minded
I'd rather be a hypocrite of those values
than a walker of yours!

Illegal Immigration

Every single white person in the United States of America is the descendant of an illegal immigrant.

Every Latino is a descendant of the rightful owners of America.

If people actually cared about illegal immigration, if they actually wanted to get rid of "anchor babies," they'd deport every single white person back to Europe and give the land back to the Mexicans.

Also, I HATE the saying "life is not fair." Stop using it as an excuse to not make any effort at making things better.
